Bluetooth®

Stay safe and obey local hands-free laws with built-in Bluetooth (HFP). Easily pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the FH-S722BS without having to go through complicated settings. When a registered Bluetooth device is in proximity to the receiver, the auto connection function automatically pairs the two units.

From hands-free calling, wireless audio streaming (A2DP) with artist, album, and song search, simple pairing, and control audio (AVRCP profile), Bluetooth® wireless technology has made life in the vehicle much more convenient.

The FH-S722BS with Bluetooth also includes superior call quality reception using Wideband Speech Handsfree Profile 1.6. Wideband Speech nearly doubles the bandwidth of frequencies of a normal Bluetooth call (when compared to calls without Wideband Speech). Other features include the ability to browse music libraries on smartphones wirelessly.

Spotify®

Control content from the Spotify app on iPhone® and Android™ devices directly from select Pioneer receivers.Play, pause and skip tracks using the Pioneer controls, and with a few button presses easily browse playlists, albums, and radio stations on the go.

Pandora®

Pandora is personalized internet radio that is designed to help you discover new music that you'll love mixed in with music that you already know. With the FH-S722BS, you can enjoy superior sound quality and full control of the Pandora experience in your car directly from the display of the receiver. You are able to give tracks “thumbs up” or “thumbs down,” bookmark a song so you can purchase it later, easily switch between your personalized radio stations, and view full track data and album art.

Pandora is compatible with Apple iOS, as well as Android devices that support the Bluetooth Serial Port Profile (SPP). Simply download the free Pandora Radio app to your iPhone or Android device, connect to the FH-S722BS and take your music to the next level.

Pioneer Smart Sync

Integrate Your Smartphone with Your Receiver. Pioneer Smart Sync is a highly evolved app available for both iOS and Android OS that utilizes the power of a connected smartphone to expand the features and user interface of compatible Pioneer in-dash receivers. With support for either a Bluetooth® or USB connection, the link between your smartphone and the in-dash receiver can be either wired or wireless.

Say goodbye to complicated user interfaces. With your compatible apps just a tap away, your drive will be much smoother. In addition, Pioneer Smart Sync v4.5 enables you to keep up with your vehicle information including engine performance, live data, and more. Smartphone Control

Access music on your smartphone directly from the Pioneer receiver. Search for Artist, Albums and Songs using Pioneer's intuitive interface. With Pioneer receivers you can also access and control select music and radio apps on your smartphone.

AOA 2.0 Support for Android™

AOA 2.0 enables Android owners to play music streaming apps and control basic functionality, Play/Pause and Skip Song, using the buttons of the receiver. The new feature requires the Android device to be running Android 4.1 or newer and be plugged into the receiver via the USB connection on the front of the unit.

MIXTRAX®

MIXTRAX® is an innovative Pioneer technology that creates a nonstop mix of your music library complete with a range of DJ-inspired effects. Drawing from Pioneer’s rich DJ heritage and our passion for music, MIXTRAX® delivers a unique DJ infused listening experience to those in the car. MIXTRAX® takes the music from an iPhone, iPod, USB device, or certain Android devices and plays it back with added transitions and effects, creating a virtual DJ inside the Pioneer receiver.

MIXTRAX® makes automatic remixing of tracks extra quick and easy. Simply connect your USB compatible device and listen as tracks are joined by various random sound effects in nonstop mix play to keep the groove going in full swing.

MIXTRAX® also features club-style illumination that enhances the mood with a dynamic dance club-like lighting effect. As MIXTRAX® begins, lights start pulsing to the beat of the music, adding an extra level of entertainment. Choose among multiple patterns of lighting variations from sound pressure level or low-pass synchronization modes.

SiriusXM®

The FH-S722BS is SiriusXM Ready so you can listen to commercial-free music, all your favorite sports, exclusive talk and entertainment, comedy, news, traffic, weather, and more!. Simply connect the SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner (SXV200V1) to the dedicated port on the rear of the receiver and control and enjoy satellite radio without additional translators or cables. Features like Tune Start, Tune Scan, Replay, and iTunes® Tagging will be available on the receiver. The SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner (SXV200V1) is sold separately. Also, a subscription to SiriusXM Radio is required.

USB Auto Switch

The receiver also includes the USB Auto Switch feature so when the phone is connected via USB the listener has the option to choose whether the receiver uses the phone as a source, or just charges the device.

Customize Your Colors

Select from among five colors (blue/red/amber/green/violet) for the display and 112 different key colors to match unit illumination to your vehicle's interior lighting. Also choose from several background images to suit your mood.

FLAC Codec Support

Pioneer Car Stereo Receivers upgrade in-car audio with amazing sound reproduction with their ability to play FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) files, which are 50-60% smaller than WAV files yet retain the integrity of the original sound sources. FLAC playback at up to 44.1khz sampling frequency and 16-bit bitrate for files stored on a USB thumb drive.
